Meetings of the Town Electors

The annual town meeting (which is always the 2nd Tuesday of April) provides the means for town electors to exercise their statutory authority and governance of the town. This opportunity for the electors to attend a meeting and propose and vote on legislation is a unique feature of town government. The second week in November provides another opportunity. This meeting allows the residents of the town to set the town levy and to set the maximum road expenditure limit. Other items of importance may be on the agenda as well.

OTHER Regularly Scheduled Meetings

All meetings and election activities are held at the Town Hall at the intersection of County Roads V & E. All meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend, whether to bring matters before the Board, to voice an opinion or just to be involved. Agendas, while not posted to the website yet, are available by e-mail upon request.

· Town Board meetings are normally the 1^st Thursday beginning at 6:30 p.m. At these meetings, the Town Board will deliberate over various resident, town, and county related items of interest. These meetings provide for lively discussion on many Town related processes and subjects.

· Special Town Board meetings... as needed

· Plan Commission meetings... generally 2^nd and 4^th Wednesdays w/exceptions

· Park Committee meetings... as needed

· Annual Town Meeting... the 2nd Tuesday of April at 7 p.m.

· Annual Town Budget Hearing... usually the 2nd Tuesday or Thursday of November

· Caucus... during January of each year, lately the 1st Thursday... date determined at December's Town Board meeting

· Elections... polling booths open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Absentee ballots are always available for each election.
