IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY CALL 911

The St. Joseph Fire/Rescue/EMS Department proudly serves the Town of St Joseph.  The Department was established in 1964 and was housed then in a one stall station in Houlton.  Currently the Department is based at one station located at the corner of County Rd V and County Road E adjacent to the Town Hall.

St. Joseph Fire/Rescue is a volunteer department with over 20 members responding to approximately 150 calls for service per year.  All members take time away from their personal lives to take the necessary training, maintain the Department equipment and respond to emergency calls.

The Department provides fire suppression, fire investigation, auto extrication, cold water/ice rescue, hazardous materials response and is trained in rope, confined space and steep slope and low angle rescue to assist specialized teams in the area.

The Department is always accepting applications to become a firefighter.  If you are interested in learning what it takes to become a Town of St. Joseph firefighter, call the station phone listed above and leave a message for the Fire Chief.
