Proudly Serving

The St. Joseph Fire and EMS Department proudly serves the Town of St Joseph. The Department was established in 1964 and was housed then in a one stall station in Houlton. Currently the Department is based at one station located at the corner of County Road V and County Road E adjacent to the Town Hall

Volunteer Department

St. Joseph Fire and EMS is a volunteer department with over 20 members responding to approximately 150 calls for service per year. All members take time away from their personal lives to take the necessary training, maintain the Department equipment and respond to emergency calls.

Services & Supplies

The Department provides:

  • Auto Extrication
  • Cold Water and Ice Rescue
  • Confined Space and Steep Slope
  • Fire Investigation
  • Fire Suppression
  • Hazardous Materials Response
  • Is trained in Rope, Confined Space, Steep Slope and  Low Angle Rescue to Assist Area Specialized Teams
